Scrabble-O by Lauris

What a terrific way to start another Daylight Saving Summer Series! The conditions were perfect - made even more enjoyable by the ability to see where we were going - until 7:30 or so anyway. Clearly it will take another few weeks for daylight saving to kick in properly and allow us to run without headlamps.

Tonight's event required participants to collect letters from street signs (usually referred to as Hopkin's Notation - as Judy was the first one to use this concept on one of her many Highbury Hill events).

Sadly, we were only allowed to use 7 letters....otherwise I would have claimed accomplishments for a score of 28. As it turns out, the well-scoring words required use of the letter J. Some of the spellings were a little unusual - but I don't think it affected the score - or not much anyway.
