Score Course - by MikeWell done Michael! ....for showing that you can provide an entertaining evening for a lot of people by reusing an existing map and adding a few strategically placed additional controls to provide more interest. The placing of the 6 pointers put them all within reach of the walkers and as you can see below, they were quick to see the opportunity to score well this evening. David Beard, recently recovered from surgery was taking it easier this
evening. Marta provided an armed escort (2 armed actually) and I noted as I
passed that she had a tight grip on him to prevent him from making a break
for freedom. Fitz was out in front and would have cut off his escape if he
had tried to do so.
It was good to see Lou down from Bendigo - apparently the streetO maps up there are (in her words "really crap" - so she travelled all the way down to Melbourne to get a top-up of real street running in good company. Quite a remarkable effort from Ian Davies tonight who, in spite of the longer course (I think the scale was probably about 1:11,000) and the hilly terrain, still managed to get the lot with 6-7 minutes to spare. |
