 On Sunday morning, Lisa pushed daughter Amy around the 9km A course - a Herculean effort! |
The weather had been pretty gruesome all afternoon and we were expecting
numbers to be down as a result. The conditions were still wet and cold as we
arrived in the area and spotted a sparsely-dressed Eric Davidson changing in
a nearby car-park. Eric pointed in the direction of the real start-location
and provided a series of semi-navigational instructions which added up to
(a) clear off and (b) go that way.
Still recovering from this traumatic experience, we pulled up behind Lisa who had arrived early to put out her special bonus cards - but then realised that she might not have sufficient time and decided to relax in the car and unwind before the event instead - which was thought by all present to be the most appropriate approach for a Monday night event. According to Ian Davies - who ran the lot - the course was about 14 Km for them all...well done to Ian for going out there and measuring it! |

Sincere apologies....I cleaned up my desk for the first time in ages - and strangely, can't find the control cards from last week. I can provide a list of attendees...and will copy this off the timing box before starting up tomorrow night's event.
