Enthusiasm for the last night of the Monday training runs wasn't dampened by the departure of Geoff and Schon for a well deserved holiday in Perth. The course turned out to be a bit of a test of our ability to carry stuff while running, but nobody complained. I took it easy, in reality just out to keep an eye on things, and was delighted to cross paths with Rick quite early on, waving his golden ticket.
There was some confusion over what to do with the tickets - Ian picked up two, and Dianne and Jarrah left theirs on the pole, which meant that the next person to see it took it, so I was worried when it seemed that we were a Wonka bar short, but all will be sorted out when I manage to get to the Wonka factory to get another two - one for Marta as well as she sacrificed her ticket to Adam, so that Fitz the Wonder Dog could have his Schmakos. Peter from the VRA joined us, as he kindly let us use his letterbox for the pink lollies, and he ran a very creditable course.
Congratulations to Bryan who got all 25 controls and two bonus lollies. Thanks to Geoff's forward thinking, we were treated to pizza at 8.05 from the pizza shop on the corner. Delicious!
